Halloween

Post 10 of ? in the series, "Why I Haven't Blogged in Over Six Months"

My daughter, Sofie, loves Disney's animated version of Alice in Wonderland so that seemed the logical choice for a Halloween costume. The only thing I had to buy was the blue dress- which I figure she can wear as regular clothing until she grows out of it. We already had everything else except the white apron, which I managed to stitch together out of some pieces of white bed sheet that were left over from my Princess Leia costume three years ago.

It all came together quite nicely and Sofie had fun acting like Alice. She even perfected some of Alice's lines from the movie- "Curiouser and curiouser," as well as, "Your Majesty," complete with curtsy and slightly sarcastic tone.

I decided at the last minute to put together a White Rabbit costume just because Halloween (with the exception of maybe ComicCon weekend) is the only acceptable time for a "grown-up" to look completely ridiculous on purpose.

Thanks Emily! I just couldn't let Sofie have all the fun- there was plenty to go around.
