Baby Bibs

Post 3 of ? in the series, "Why I Haven't Blogged in Over Six Months"

I based this pattern on a bib I bought for my daughter a while back. I always loved the way the store-bought bib worked but it was difficult to keep it from getting stinky because it would take so long to dry after being hand washed. So I decided to make my own. My version has a piece of rip stop nylon sandwiched in between two pieces of cotton fabric so it's completely machine washable but still leak proof. I also love that it folds up and fits in a diaper bag easily.

Hey, have you considered making these bibs in a larger adult size? I know someone who tends to wear what they eat.

Hahaha! You could be on to something there.

Lani: Sofie was totally my guinea pig for this pattern. Thanks for your kind words. I need to sew some more so I can get them up on etsy.

So cute! I saw this on Lani's FB. I also love sewing things for my kids. Asher is 4 mos and super drooly so I've been making little chin bibs that are kind of like bandanas. I'll be watching your blog for inspiration!

Thanks Rachel. I would love to see pics of some of the things you've made for your little ones. So far it's pretty easy to make things for my daughter because even though she does have opinions about the things she likes, she really isn't that picky yet. I'm sure those days are numbered.
