I got the pattern for this out of the book, The New Handmade: Simple Sewing for Contemporary Style, by Cassie Barden (which is an excellent book if you want to learn how to sew some practical but fun projects- I highly recommend it).
I did decide to deviate from the instructions a bit and make it reversible- mostly because I couldn't decide whether I wanted the pink stripes on top of the black polka dots or the other way around so I did both.
